‘My 600-lb Life’: How’s Brandon Scott’s Music Career In 2023?
My 600-lb Life alum Brandon Scott inspired many with his journey in Season 7. The Ohio native weighed 718 pounds when he sought Dr. Now’s help. He was also determined to lose weight due to his dreams of becoming a singer. Fortunately, he had a lot of support on his side. Keep reading to see his incredible achievements today.
My 600-lb Life: Brandon Scott’s Weight Loss Journey
Brandon had a rough start during the early days of his weight-loss journey. It even came to a point where he almost gave up due to the criticism. However, the My 600-lb Life alum didn’t give up. He knew about the dangers of his weight, which would also affect his goal of becoming a singer. The former TLC star eventually lost enough pounds for bariatric surgery. He was able to shed 383 pounds after 12 months and have his lymphedema removed. Brandon’s girlfriend, Taylor Kunce, played a significant role in his dreams. She was one of the biggest motivators for his weight loss and even decided to join in on his diet plans.
Brandon’s Music Career
Becoming a singer is one of Brandon’s biggest goals since appearing in the show. After shedding massive pounds, the My 600-lb Life alum was able to release multiple songs. Some of them are titled “Calling On Jesus” and “Handcuffed To A Demon.” He also composed a short song for his TLC return with his girlfriend at the time called “Walls Down.”
At this point, Brandon Scott has been promoting his gigs on social media. It’s clear to see that he has finally achieved his dream of singing in front of many people. His IG bio also states that he’s a “Touring Musician” who focuses on gospel songs. Some of his FB posts also show schedules for his livestreams where he and some of his co-singers perform.
My 600-lb Life: Brandon Scott Got Married
A lot of good things have happened to Brandon since his episode. He eventually got married to Taylor, and they are now living happily in Nashville, Tennessee. Many are also glad that he finally walked down the aisle after having doubts years ago due to his weight.
Brandon Scott has yet to share his current weight. But some of his photos on social media show that he has kept a healthy figure. His gigs and music videos are documented on YouTube as well. Though it seems he no longer has a story to tell about his weight loss journey after successfully shedding enough pounds to pursue a singing career.
