Caitlyn Jenner Walks Back Major Diss To Kim Kardashian?

Being part of the Kardashian-Jenner clan can be a bit complicated. Often, when things are on camera that makes it a little more difficult to just forgive, forget, and move on. So when the new trailer for House of Kardashian hit the Internet, there was talk about Caitlyn Jenner’s comment about Kim Kardashian.

The Kardashians Aren’t New To Criticism

During the trailer for House of Kardashian, it mentions that people tend to either essentially love or hate them. Likewise, it mentions they want to talk about The Kardashians or they believe, “They ruined the world!” Similarly, The Kardashians recently came up on The View and Joy Behar was fairly dismissive of the success that the Kardashian-Jenner family has built. Instead, she was critical of their focus on big butts and plastic surgery. It is easy to see how people jump on the love/hate fad of criticizing The Kardashians, but it isn’t the full picture.

Caitlyn Jenner’s Shot To The Heart

Caitlyn’s segment featured in the trailer for the upcoming docuseries, House of Kardashian, came across as pretty harsh. The docuseries dives deep into the family’s rise to fame. During the trailer, Caitlyn says, “Kimberly calculated from the beginning, ‘How do I become famous?'” Admittedly, Caitlyn Jenner says she didn’t intend for the comments to be seen as shots aimed at Kim Kardashian. Conversely, when telling Kim Kardashian was “calculated” it was not supposed to be heard negatively. Instead, Caitlyn meant for it to show her drive towards fame. Most notably, her comments were part of a bigger conversation. During that expanded discussion, Caitlyn spoke fond and proud of Kim Kardashian.

Smoothing Out The Misunderstanding

Caitlyn Jenner reflects on her use of the word “calculated” and recognizes it wasn’t the best choice. But additional communication has made sure Kim knows that Caitlyn didn’t mean it as a diss. Reportedly, after the trailer dropped, it was explained to Kim that Caitlyn’s quotes were edited. Unsurprisingly, they were manipulated to come off more controversial than they were. As a promo, it was intended to be shocking. Clarifying, Caitlyn said she is extremely proud of Kim. Caitlyn Jenner also confronts what was shown in the 40-second clip since it doesn’t mirror the intentions she had when talking about her family.

Caitlyn Jenner And Kim Kardashian Making Amends

Notably, unlike Keeping Up With the Kardashians and The Kardashians, in the new docuseries the Kardashian-Jenners do not have any editorial control over what goes into the House of Kardashian series. Equally important, Caitlyn Jenner was only a contributor to the new docuseries. Likewise, she has no creative control over what makes the cut for the filming. However, Caitlyn says she will defend her family’s legacy by talking with producers to steer their direction toward a positive voice in filming and editing.

Additionally, Caitlyn and Kim seem to be on good terms now. The Kardashians understand how editing works and Kim is very accepting of the matter.
