Jessa Duggar Seewald Reveals Whether She Follows IBLP
Jessa Duggar Seewald is revealing to fans whether she still follows the IBLP (Institute in Basic Life Principles). She was raised in this religious organization, and her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, are still involved in it. Over the years, several of her siblings have gone their separate ways. However, fans have long been curious about Jessa’s religious beliefs. Now, she’s finally sharing where she stands with the IBLP.
Jessa has been laying low on social media lately. She hasn’t posted much throughout the summer, but she did announce that she’s pregnant with her fifth baby. Between managing her pregnancy symptoms and caring for her four other children, social media may not have been a top priority. However, she finally resurfaced on Monday and allowed fans to send in questions about her pregnancy and more.
One fan was curious about Jessa’s religious beliefs, and she didn’t shy away from sharing the truth.

Amid the many pregnancy questions she received, Jessa also responded to a question about her and Ben being involved in the IBLP. One fan asked, “Do you and Ben follow IBLP?”
In response, on her Instagram Stories, Jessa Duggar Seewald shared a photo of her tidy bedroom and said, “No, we do not.”
In her post, she didn’t reveal any further details such as when she stopped following the religion or what she believes now. However, her husband, Ben, is a pastor at Immanuel Baptist Church in Springdale, Arkansas.
Over the summer, Amazon Prime Video released a docuseries called Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, which highlights the IBLP and its dangerous practices. So, many more fans are becoming familiar with the religion and questioning the Duggar family’s involvement.
Which other Duggar family members have left the IBLP?
Jessa isn’t the only Duggar to step away from the IBLP. In a memoir, Jinger Duggar Vuolo detailed her journey away from the IBLP and revealed how she found freedom in religion. Jill Duggar Dillard also published a book revealing shocking details about her family’s shows and their religious beliefs. Then, just last week, Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth shared that she’s not a part of the IBLP either and that she and Austin attend a Baptist church.
There’s a chance other Duggar kids have walked away from the IBLP but haven’t shared this decision publicly. For now, Jinger, Jessa, Joy-Anna, and Jill are known to have left.
