Alissa’s Stepfather, Michael Turney Acquitted Of Murdering Alissa
One big thing that will happen in tonight’s episode of 20/20 is an interview with Michael Turney. He is Alissa Turney’s stepfather and was recently acquitted of murdering her. All charges against him were dismissed. He went on trial for second-degree murder. On the day of her disappearance, he did admit to arguing with Alissa about her wanting some more independence. He revealed that she was upset and went to her room, but when he got home later she was gone.
At that time, the police thought she was just a runaway and there was no foul play at all in her disappearance. There was a lot of surveillance camera footage at the house, but for some reason, there was nothing from the day that she went missing. Sofar, they seem to have no leads in what happened to Alissa Turney.
