Whoopi Goldberg Shares Freaky Reason She Went To Behar Nuptials
The View host Whoopi Goldberg revealed the freaky reason she went to the Behar nuptials. Despite disliking the ideas of marriage and weddings, Whoopi attended her co-host Joy Behar‘s wedding. It looks like Joy gave her a very good reason to go and that she just couldn’t skip the event. So, back in 2011 when Joy got married, Whoopi was there. Now, she’s spilling all of the details behind her decision to show her support, regardless of her personal beliefs.
When did Joy Behar get married?
After they dated for 30 years, Joy married Steve Janowitz in 2011. In a 2020 episode of The View, Joy dropped the shocking details of how she met him, explaining they first ran into each other at a “semi-nudist colony.”
Though the wedding was more than a decade ago, Whoopi and Joy ended up on the topic on The View. This prompted the pair to share something wild with viewers. What other freaky details have surfaced about Joy and Steve’s wedding?

The topic of weddings comes up fairly often on the talk show. It was discussed again this week, and during this conversation, Whoopi admitted that she dislikes the institution of marriage and isn’t a fan of weddings. So, she doesn’t go to weddings.
Her co-host, Joy Behar, pointed out that Whoopi had attended her wedding back in 2011 anyway. However, it sounds like Joy had a very good reason to get married and it was one Whoopi approved of enough to attend the event anyway.

When Joy Behar reminded Whoopi Goldberg of her attendance at her wedding, the actress had to share the full story with viewers. So, she explained, “Because I loved the reason you got married, not just because you were in love, but because you guys wanted to make sure that you have somebody in case somebody had to pull the plug. Isn’t that what you said? And I thought, you know, love is great, but practicality is everything.”
Then, Joy confirmed that this is indeed why she got married, saying, “That’s right, yeah.”
This exchange drew lots of laughter from the rest of The View hosts, as well as the audience.
