Artem Chigvintsev Reveals Extra Pressure With Charity Lawson
On a recent episode of Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Off the Vine podcast, she spoke with Charity Lawson about her upcoming gig on DWTS. Recall, that Kaitlyn won the competition and her dance partner was Artem Chigvintsev. Now, Charity is also being teamed up with Artem. Kaitlyn warned Charity that she needed to buckle up. Artem Chigvintsev and Charity Lawson respond to Kaitlyn’s comments
Dancing With the Stars pro Artem Chigvintsev and former Bachelorette Charity Lawson have been paired up for the upcoming season. Prior to the big announcement of who Charity would be dancing with, she spoke with former winner Kaitlyn Bristowe. She shared who she thought Charity could be teamed up with. While talking about it she shared some challenges that could happen during rehearsals.
Kaitlyn said, “I think possibly Artem because [of] the height. I think possibly Alan [Bersten] because I could see them putting you with him, only because he’s one of the more well-loved, I feel like, out of a lot of them. And I feel like I could see you and your fun personality with him. He’s kind of a d—k, but I can see it. Well, they’re all d—ks. They’re all d—ks, I’m telling you. Buckle up.”
US Weekly shared the big response from Charity and Artem. As for Artem, he is feeling some pressure about taking on another lead from The Bachelor franchise. He said, “Usually we don’t get two Bachelorettes in a row. It is a bit of a pressure [because] I feel like people have a certain expectation, especially when Kaitlyn did so well and Gabby [Windey] last season did so well. So we’re just going to hopefully keep that expectation for you.”
Artem also said that he isn’t taking what Kaitlyn said personally. He said, “Look, it’s all with a good intention. Because I know sometimes when we have someone who has a great potential, you want to bring it out of them. It worked for Kaitlyn — she won the mirrorball trophy.”
Charity herself is thrilled to have Artem as a partner. She knows how good he is and how far he can take her. Kaitlyn told her to have a lot of patience going into the process.

Will Charity and her new fiance survive?
Competing on DWTS immediately following a season can be harmful to new engagements. It’s happened time and time again. However, Charity and Dotun feel they have what it takes to make it work. He says he is fully supportive of her competing.
In fact, Dotun was the one who told her she was getting the opportunity.
