Ahead of the release of her new book, Counting the Cost, Jill revealed how much money she earned in her nearly 10 years on her parents’ TLC shows. She was on both 19 Kids & Counting and Counting On. She claimed that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were paid and expected to divvy up the money among their kids.
However, according to Jill, they didn’t pay their 19 children. Upon seeking legal help, Jill was able to get a $175,000 check from her father but estimates her parents earned around $8 million for the shows.
On Tuesday, September 12, on the day of her book release, Jill and Derick Dillard appeared on Good Morning America. On the show, they talked about the book and several important topics pertaining to her family.

In an exclusive statement to Good Morning America, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar broke their silence on Jill Dillard’s payment claims. The couple said, “We’ve aimed to deal honorably with our children, our finances, and our other endeavors. While imperfect, it is our intent and desire to live a life that honors Christ.”
