As we reported, on Saturday evening, Jessa announced to fans that she’s expecting another baby! This is her and Ben Seewald’s fifth little one. In a new YouTube video, she showed off the positive pregnancy test, sharing her excitement. Sadly, she had a miscarriage around the holiday season in 2022. So, this is a rainbow baby, which is a name for a baby born after a loss.
Now, fans are raising questions about the timing of Jessa Duggar’s pregnancy announcement in connection with some other family news.
Jill Dillard’s book release date is just around the corner.
Jessa’s sister, Jill Dillard, has written a book called Counting the Cost. It discusses some of the Duggar family’s secrets, specifically related to their time on TLC and Jill’s unfair pay. Fans suspect that this book will drop a few bombshells about the Duggars.
Fans have already speculated that some of Jim Bob Duggar’s kids will share big announcements to try to deflect from Jill’s book on its release date, September 12. Now, fans believe all of the deflection is underway.

On Reddit, fans are discussing the timing of Jessa and Ben’s pregnancy announcement. They think it has everything to do with Jill’s book, especially since pregnancy rumors have swirled for months and fans recently caught a glimpse of Jessa with a baby bump.
One Reddit user said, “Well, we called that. Pregnancy announcement from Jessa, days before Jill’s launch.” Another added, “This is how we know all of what Jill ever spills about her family is true. This is to get ahead of all negative press.”
Others pointed out how briefly Jessa Duggar mentioned her pregnancy. Someone noted, “She’ll probably post part 2 on Jill’s book launch day.”
Yet another fan pointed out just how intentional this announcement was and said, “She could have announced weeks ago. Or she could have waited a few more weeks.”
