Doubling Down With the Derricos star Deon Derrico is recruiting fans to help with the low TLC ratings for his family’s show. While the Derricos have many supportive fans and interested viewers, they, unfortunately, aren’t getting the views they expected. Deon even said that the show could be canceled. In a new Instagram post on Friday, Deon revealed to fans that his family’s show is at risk of being canceled. He said, “Doubling Down With The DERRICOs may be canceled.”
Deon also shared with TV Shows Ace that he thinks it would be beneficial for his family’s show to air at a different time. For example, switching the show to an earlier timeslot could allow more viewers to tune in. Season 4 aired at 10 p.m. ET, which may have been too late for some viewers to watch it.
Currently, it airs in the summer. He thinks it may get more attention at a different time of year when people are less busy and able to sit down and watch it.
In the comments section of Deon’s post, a few of his followers agreed that the show was on too late, especially for a family show. Some fans even blamed TLC for moving the timeslot, which may have directly impacted viewership. Someone commented, “This can not be so… I love your show and watch it FAITHFULLY!! Your show is a relief from toxic television.”
Others agreed that DDWTD is one of the better shows on TLC because it’s wholesome and family-friendly. Fans are getting tired of some of the drama and “toxicity” on other series on the network. Someone else said, “Noooo!! 😢 not the one show without any drama, that really shows the love of a 2 parent family smh.”
Fans are sad to learn that Doubling Down With the Derricos may be ending. Fortunately, there is a way that fans can show TLC they want the show to go on.

In his post, Deon Derrico shared an awesome way for his followers to help support the show. He said, “Please go over to TLC and take their survey if you wish to see more of us!”

Fans hope that, if TLC cancels the show, the Derricos will start pursuing YouTube. Or maybe another network, such as BET, will pick up the show. One fan even tagged Tyler Perry in the comments and asked him to help out the Derrico family.
