What caused TLC star Whitney Way Thore to completely go off on a fan?
Reality television stars are regular people with a wide range of emotions at the end of the day. But the fact that Whitney cursed at the fan in her online rant is really raising some eyebrows.
It seems like the drama has to do with an upcoming storyline for My Big Fat Fabulous Life Season 11. Keep reading to see what all the fuss was about.
Whitney Way Thore curses at a fan on social media
This season, Whitney Way Thore and her family will navigate life after Babs’ death. Although the season isn’t out yet, the family already revealed one exciting feature. This season, they will search for Glenn Thore’s other daughter.
Reportedly, Glenn Thore fathered another child during his days in the military. The family hasn’t had contact with her but thought this would be a great time to connect.
Most fans are excited to see how it all plays out onscreen, but a few viewers have some really strong opinions.
“Classic,” one Redditor uploaded a screenshot from Whitney Way Thore’s social media page. “Surprised she didn’t just delete the comment.”
“Horrible that your late mother did not allow [your father] to have a relationship with his daughter,” one angry fan wrote to Whitney. However, the TLC star was not about to let the comment go. She even pinned the comment so others could see.
“Sylvia, honestly, f*ck off,” Whitney clapped back at the viewer. “You know that you have no idea what you’re talking about, yet you choose to write something that insults my dead mother. My father did not have any idea who or where his daughter was until November 2022. My mother had nothing to do with it.”
Other Redditors definitely had some strong reactions in the comments. However, most seemed to think that Glenn’s other daughter was a fabricated storyline.
Fans react to the long-lost sister storyline
Whitney Way Thore has her loyal followers. But most other Redditors involved in the thread seemed to think the storyline was completely made up for the sake of ratings.
“Yikes. Did Glenn know about this child before last November, or not? ‘He had no idea who or where his daughter was’ does not = he had no clue he had fathered a child 40-odd years ago,” someone else wrote.
“She’s such an idiot to engage with people like this. Why does she bother?” one fan chastised Whitney’s response. “Methinks there’s a whole lot more to this sordid story, and she’s trying to do damage control ahead of time. And we’ll never learn the true story anyway. But again, if you’re going to put your whole silly, empty life out there for public consumption, you’d better expect that not everyone’s going to love it. She really hates losing the narrative, which is why I don’t understand why she even engages this way.”

so so so so so very sad to hear about Babs , she was absolutely adorable.
