‘Sister Wives’ Fans Livid Over No Early Release
Sister Wives fans are livid over no early release, once again. This has become commonplace with TLC shows. Viewers have come to expect them to air early on streamers. Sadly, this act has stopped over the last several months, leaving viewers canceling streaming services such as max and discovery+. So, what are the fans saying? Read on for more details.
Sister Wives Fans Livid Over No Early Release
Season 17 of Sister Wives was one of the most explosive ones yet. It documented Christine Brown announcing that she was leaving the plural family. Then, Kody Brown proceeded to lash out at everyone as he went crazy over the loss of his third wife. Getting to watch these episodes early for subscribers of discovery+ was the core benefit. The episode was able to be viewed around 6 am EST whereas it did not air on TLC until 10 pm EST. So, fans were privy to major spoilers. This was the same with other fan favorites like 90 Day Fiance. Then, the privilege was taken away and fans were livid.
Soon, HBO became max and acquired all of the TLC programming so it was presumed the same programming would still air early. As learned with Season 18 of Sister Wives, which began August 20th, that did not happen. Fans soon expressed their disdain for this and have yet to let up on this subject. Now, the tweets are pouring in and this is what fans have to say:

Oh okay. Right through last Season #Sisterwives, we were getting the early access. I guess no more.

@discoveryplus Why no early access to #Sisterwives? Some people pay for #DiscoveryPlus just for the early access. And some of us were expecting the first episode of the new season, to be uploaded at 4:00 a.m. Sunday, which is what happened last season.

So, it seems that viewers are not understanding why they are paying for services that are not delivering what they want or need. More so, they are struggling with not being able to watch their favorite shows in the fashion they used to.
Will It Change?
There have been a plethora of complaints but nothing has been done just yet. It will take people really canceling their services in order to send a message. Unfortunately, max offers so many good options aside from TLC, that is unlikely to happen over there. Might discovery+ become obsolete due to this? That could very well happen but only time will tell.
