American Pickers fans got a nice surprise this last weekend. On the show’s official Facebook page, an episode showed up and Frank Fritz was back on the screen again. This was nice for fans who have been missing the former co-host and it felt like old times again.

Here is a look at the episode and what this means for the future of Frank Fritz.

American Pickers airs Frank Fritz episode

On Facebook over the weekend, an episode of American Pickers played out and a familiar face was back on the screen. In the four-minute clip, Frank and Mike Wolfe were together and spoke to Bob Russell, owner of Butte Creek Mill Antiques. They discovered some hidden gems in the episode, including a nice Royal Bayreuth pitcher.

Frank was funny in the episode as well, saying he would pay $200 for the pitcher, which had a figural handle. His reasoning? It would inspire him to find some cups and plates to go with it. He laughed as he shook Bob’s hand and it reminded fans of better times on American Pickers.

Long-time fans of the show know this was a replay of a classic episode moment from 2019. This happened back in Season 21. Frank’s last episode was in March 2020 and the show fired him in 2021. Fans took to the comment section of the video post to talk about how much they missed Frank Fritz. “I miss the two of them together,” one fan wrote.

While fans missed Frank from the new seasons, the former co-host suffered a stroke after he was fired and remains in serious condition.

Frank Fritz updates

Frank Fritz suffered a stroke one year after American Pickers fired him. The star had checked himself into rehab and was cleaning his life up when the medical condition struck him in July 2022. Frank ended up with the right side of his body paralyzed. However, while he remains in serious condition, he is recovering and improving daily.

A friend spoke about Frank’s recovery and said he will never be 100% again, but he is improving and getting better. He was placed under a conservatorship (MidOneBank) and a guardian (close friend Chris Davis) was appointed to make any legal decisions for him. The court papers said his decision-making had been impaired by the stroke.

However, the friend said that he is “aware of what’s going on” and is “the same old Frank.” He has recovered mobility, but will always need a wheelchair from now on to navigate long distances. However, when it comes to being off American Pickers, the friend said Frank loves being out of the spotlight, so don’t expect him to return, even if he could.
