‘Today:’ Al Roker Says ‘So Long’ For Now
Al Roker of The Today Show took to Instagram about 14 hours to say “so long” for now to Memphis. The post included a brief video clip of him showing off the foggy bird’s eye view of the city as he jetted off back home to New York.
As his 942K Instagram followers know, Al Roker has been pretty busy and on the go lately. He, however, has done an incredible job of remaining active on social media despite being so busy. This has included doing what he could to not only document his birthday from a few days ago. But, he has also documented his travels.

Al Roker Teases Today Show Fans Of A Special Segment
Prior to his video of leaving Memphis, Al Roker also uploaded a video of himself walking through the airport. He was all smiles as he doted on how incredible and beautiful this particular airport was. Al panned over to gorgeous art on the all and he appreciated how open and bright the space was.

While walking, Al Roker explained that he recently took a trip to Arkansas for a story. A story that would be featured on The Today Show on Thursday. He didn’t want to give away too much, but he said the story was a celebration of the human spirit. Al was overjoyed that he had the opportunity to participate in the story. And, he hoped everyone would tune in to check it out.
He wrapped up his video by looking over to see if his plane was ready to board. He reassured everyone he would see them this morning if they tuned in to watch the Today Show. And, he signed off admitting that he “hoped” people would tune in to watch him in the morning.

He Also Gave A Bird’s Eye View Of New York
In addition to showing off Memphis as he left, Al Roker also turned on his camera and got a bird’s eye view as his plane approached New York. The video revealed Al was getting pretty late as the sky was pitch black and all the buildings were lit up.
In the caption, Al Roker admitted that he never got tired of looking out at the gorgeous New York skyline regardless of how many times he has traveled. He, however, did admit he had a soft spot for flying in at night and seeing all the buildings lit up.
