The Today Show host Al Roker recently took fans inside his very own personal paradise.

When most people think of paradise, “fiery” isn’t the word that springs to mind. Usually, you think of palm trees, mountains, warm breeze, or whatever else personal pleasures you enjoy. But for Al Roker, paradise comes in a different form: with lots of fire. Read on to find out about this particular flame-filled paradise as shared by Al on social media this week.

Al Is Known For His Kitchen Gadgets

If there’s one thing that Al Roker could be said to be known for outside of The Today Show and weather, it’s cooking. On social media, fans eagerly follow along with Al’s posts to see his latest culinary creation.

It is not just the food that people are eager to catch a glimpse of. Al’s kitchen is a wonder in itself. Stocked with every gadget and utensil that an aspiring chef could hope for, each pic of his kitchen is a glimpse into the workspace of an artist. Al often shares pictures of the dishes he prepares on social media. And when Al’s son Nick Roker was home from college for the summer, he turned his dishes into a labor of love. As he counted down to his son’s return to college, he marked the final dishes that he cooked for him.

Last week, he shared a picture of an impressive spread boasting potatoes and eggs. He captioned the pic, “Only a few days left for me to make breakfast for Nick.” Now, Nick has returned to college, but Al’s cooking passion remains.

Al’s passion has been bolstered by a beautiful new birthday present gifted to Al Roker by his wife Deborah Roberts.

Al took to social media yesterday to show off his amazing back patio. He posted a short video to the tune of “Ring of Fire” by Johnny Cash. Al captioned the video, “My birthday present from @debrobertsabc is a @blackstoneproducts griddle, completing my #ringoffire.” These include grills, a brick oven, and what appears to be a covered smoker. As he panned around the patio, Al explained, “Yes, welcome to the Ring of Fire.” He listed off his gadgets, before repeating in a solemn voice, “The Ring of Fire.”

 

It’s all a sign of the continuation of Al’s great passion for cooking, even if his son Nick isn’t around to enjoy the fruits of his labor. While fans can’t enjoy Al’s cooking themselves and they can only dream of his impressive cooking setup, this may just redefine what “paradise” looks like to many.
