As we reported, ahead of Al’s birthday, he and his co-hosts discussed his potential retirement. At 69, fans figured that it was possible that he was ready to retire and live a more relaxed lifestyle. However, on the show, he suggested that he’s not close to retiring just yet.
As he celebrates his birthday, he’s happy and healthy, documenting the highlight of his life.

Al’s daughter, Courtney Roker, and her husband, Wesley Laga, welcomed their baby girl, Sky, to the world last month. On his Instagram page on Monday morning, Al shared a new post with Today viewers, giving everyone a glimpse into his birthday festivities. It looks like the beloved Today star had no complaints about how he spent his special day. He shared two photos as he held his granddaughter, Sky, in his arms.
The baby girl wore an adorable red onesie with a white headband and white socks. She was content and alert on her grandpa’s lap. In one candid snap, Al was admiring the little one and looked away from the camera to do so, but his happy expression is visible. The second photo is a close-up of Baby Sky.
