Jen Arnold Is Disappointed By The Lack Of Inclusivity

On her Instagram page on Friday evening, Jen opened up to The Little Couple fans about the lack of inclusivity she experienced today. She shared a selfie and explained that she attempted to get a pedicure. This was supposed to be a relaxing time for her. However, due to a lack of inclusivity, she hit a roadblock.

The former TLC star said, “Disappointed to find @miniluxe at #ChestnutHill not accessible. No elevator for accessing bottom floor where pedicures are. You should publicize this for disabled customers- so they don’t get charged with a cancellation fee if unable to get their service.”

Despite this bad experience, Jen did applaud the wonderful staff. But they likely aren’t responsible for refunds. They likely don’t have control over whether there’s an elevator either.

The Little Couple Fans Rush To Her Defense

In the comments section of her post, fans are sharing their disappointment over this situation. Many feel bad that she had to deal with this. Others think it’s strange that there’s such a lack of inclusivity and equity in 2023. One upset fan said, “Did they actually charge you for not being able to walk down the stairs?! That’s not ok. You can file a complaint on ada.gov for a disability rights violation.”

Others are also encouraging her to file a complaint. Some took it one step further and commented on the nail salon’s Instagram page, urging them to be more inclusive and apologize to Jen. The TLC star has over one million Instagram followers, so there’s a potential for this story to go far.

Hopefully, this issue is resolved and Jen’s experience raises awareness and sparks change.
