Sister Wives Kody Brown Breaks Silence, Admits Shocking Details
Kody Brown has always said whatever is on his mind, even if it hurts someone he says he loves. In Seasons 15 and 16, he caused a rift with his sons Gabriel and Garrison due to the pandemic. He believed their behavior was too risky thus he felt they should be thrown out. Of course, their mother, Janelle Brown refused to do so and put her foot down. During Season 17, when Christine Brown decided to leave, Kody was screaming and lashing out at every turn. He also openly said he was not attracted to her but she was royalty in their church so that’s why he married her.
However, with the Season 18 premiere of Sister Wives coming up, Kody Brown seems to be taking a new approach. He spoke to People and has a new outlook on life and marriage. “The idea of ever marrying again after the experience I’ve had, there’s no reason for me to do that. I feel like I’ve hit the bottom of a deep swimming pool, but I’ve pushed off and am headed to the surface,” Kody, 54, explains. He also admitted that he wants to move forward with a lot of “forgiveness.”
Now, it is unclear if he is the one doing the forgiving or is hopeful that he can make amends himself. He is estranged from some of his children as seen in the preview. Plus, his former wives do not seem to care much for him, except maybe Meri Brown, who was his first wife. Yet, he does admit that he could have done a lot better in all of his folded marriages and thinks about it daily.
No Going Back
While losing Christine Brown shook him in Season 17, Kody Brown seems to realize that he cannot dwell. Rather, he accepts the breakups and learns to forgive everyone involved. Furthermore, he has ambitions to move forward with grace and happiness, at least that seems to be the ultimate goal. Though he does not foresee himself in a plural marriage again, Kody did say that some things have happened lately. Those have actually helped to bring his confidence back and he is feeling much better about life.

Kody has turned into a monogamist and he doesn’t know what to do with his excess wives. He also doesn’t know what to do with his crazy religion that he depended on to support polygamy when he wanted multiple wives. His kids with wives other than Robyn are expendable.
