‘Bringing Up Bates’ Fans Concerned About Josie Bates’ Pregnancy

Josie Bates & Kelton Balka are expecting their third child!
As TV Shows Ace reported on Monday night, Josie and Kelton Balka announced that their third baby is on the way! She posted an adorable announcement video on her Instagram page to reveal the exciting news. The couple already has two daughters, Willow, 4, and Hazel, 2.
In response to their post, Josie and Kelton got lots of love from fans, friends, and family. It looks like their loved ones are very happy for them.

Bringing Up Bates fans express their concerns about Josie Bates Balka’s pregnancy.
On Reddit, fans started a new thread about Josie’s health concerns in her prior pregnancies. She previously opened up about these issues and her second daughter, Hazel, spent some time in the NICU after birth. Based on what Josie originally shared with her followers, there was some type of incompatibility between her blood and Hazel’s blood. Many fans assumed this meant that Josie had Rh factor.
However, she later clarified, “The issue I have is not Rh factor. unfortunately it’s a much more rare antibody and there is no preventive treatment.”
So, there appear to be some risks in having more children. Throughout her pregnancy with Hazel, she had additional checkups and met with specialists. Fans are concerned about what could happen during this pregnancy.
One fan commented, “The first pregnancy usually doesn’t cause issues, but subsequent pregnancies do. Why keep risking it?” Bringing Up Bates fans also pointed out that Kelton‘s mom, Kristy Balka, passed away during childbirth back in 2009. So, fans wonder how comfortable Kelton is with his wife continuing to have children despite these known health concerns. Someone added, “Given Kelton’s tragic loss of his mother during childbirth, he doesn’t appear to be ‘driving this’ desire.”
Hopefully, all goes well with Josie’s pregnancy and her baby’s birth.
