Welcome To Plathville Season 5 Confirmed
On Tuesday, August 8, People exclusively confirmed that the Plath family is returning to TLC. And luckily, fans don’t have to wait long at all to catch up with the whole family.
The series returns to TLC on Tuesday, September 5 at 10 p.m. ET. So, it’s less than a month away. As TLC shared the huge news with fans, they revealed what’s in store in the new season. There’s lots of excitement ahead, of course, but one major storyline puts the spotlight on Moriah.
Moriah Plath Takes Huge Leap Of Faith
In the preview, Moriah debuts a tattoo that reads, “rebel.” She also appears to have a dramatic phone call with Ethan and another shocking talk with her dad, Barry.
Later, Moriah can be seen taking a huge leap of faith. In a moment of growth, she is being baptized by her dad. She says, “I’ve carried all this baggage and weight of all the mistakes that I’ve made my whole life and it’s time to just put that down.” This is an emotional moment for the Welcome to Plathville star as well as her whole family. Though Moriah has not denied being a Christian in the past, she has been living a different lifestyle from her parents and her sister, Lydia. Fans are eager to see Moriah’s faith journey and how she reached the point of baptism.
Also in the preview, Moriah opens up about her sister-in-law, Olivia Plath, to whom she used to be close. In the clip, Moriah explains, “She was using a made-up story to validate her big emotions.” She elaborates, informing viewers of why she is so unhappy with Olivia.
The 20-year-old says that Olivia previously accused Kim of using Ethan’s credit card and stealing his money. The family drama doesn’t stop there as Ethan later reveals that Moriah has blocked his number.
