Doubling Down With the Derricos fans, it’s time to get to know Eric Jefferson. He’s been a part of the TLC series and is close with the Derrico family. But not everyone knows exactly who he is. How did he meet the Derricos? Are they related by blood? Keep reading for all of the details about the relationship Deon and Karen Derrico’s family has with Eric.
Who is Eric Jefferson?
Eric first appeared on Doubling Down With the Derricos in Season 1. Since then, he’s been a major part of the family’s lives and enjoys hanging out with Karen, Deon, GG, and all 14 of the kids.
Though Eric isn’t a blood relative of the Derricos, he’s known as a “primary family member.” Eric was previously a tenant of Deon and Karen. Then, he got to know them better and became a real estate employee. As he worked alongside Deon, he had the chance to get to know the rest of the family, too. And that’s where their friendship began.
Back in 2014, Eric married Felicia Jefferson. Their marriage came to an end in 2021, and since then, he’s been welcomed into the Derrico family. He doesn’t have any kids of his own. However, Deon and Karen often refer to him at the kids’ big brother.

Because Eric has faced ups and downs in his relationships, he doesn’t have a lot of people in his corner. Fortunately, the Derrico family has lots of love to give! As TV Shows Ace reported, on last week’s episode of the reality TV series, the Derricos invited Eric to officially join their family. They presented him with an official certificate and celebrated this huge moment. Fans were very touched by this sentimental moment and enjoyed watching Eric become a part of the family.

It’s clear to see that Eric is very loved by the Derricos, and thanks to their TLC show, fans have had the chance to fall in love with him as well.
