‘RHOP’ Gizelle Bryant Reveals Devastating Loss
RHOP star Gizelle Bryant is revealing a devastating loss that has hit her extremely hard. She has already been through a divorce from her husband, Jamal Harrison Bryant after seven years. RHOP Gizelle Bryant Reveals Devastating Loss
Gizelle Bryant had a career as an actress prior to joining the RHOP, which began in January 2016. Since then, she has been a key player along with Ashley Darby and Candiace Dillard Bassett. Now, she has a personal tragedy that she is dealing with that may or may not make it on to the eighth season. According to her Instagram, she shared a tribute to her father, Curtis Graves, who she apparently lost. Along with a family photo, she wrote this: “Thank you for being the best Dad that a little girl could ever want or need. I will miss you everyday of my life ❤️.”

As it turns out, Gizelle Bryant’s father was not just any father but a trailblazer. According to Bravo, Curtis was a Civil Rights activist. During his career, he worked with notable figures including Martin Luther King Jr. Furthermore, he spent six years in the Texas House of Representatives as well as with NASA. Fans had seen him on RHOP and immediately flocked to Reddit to share memories of him as Bryant had turned off her IG comments.
“No!!! I loved Gizelle’s father on the show and learning new things about him. He seemed like an excellent person. RIP!,” one wrote. Another added: “rest in power curtis! you seemed to truly love your daughter and granddaughters. it was a joy what little we saw of you.” Finally, a Redditor chimed in with this: “Oh that’s so heartbreaking wishing her family the best. He seemed like a wonderful father on the show.” There was also mention of the great things that he did and his keen sixth sense.
Other Notable Losses
Bravo does not shy away from losses so this might be a moment for Gizelle Bryant. RHOC’s Vicki Gunvalson infamously broke down when she learned she lost her mother on camera. Her daughter and production were able to locate her at an event they were filming to break the news. Additionally, Lisa Vanderpump’s brother then her mother passed away and she had to break the news to those closest to her. Lastly, there has been controversy about the network filming outside of Jill Zarin’s late husband, Bobby Zarin’s funeral.
