What Is Hulu’s Only Murders Season 3 About?
On Wednesday, The Futon Critic reported that Hulu has shared a press release and synopsis about Only Murders Season 3. In the new season, Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd) is starring in Oliver’s (Martin Short) first production in years. Glenroy is an action figure who is starring in his first Broadway production.
However, as seen at the end of Season 2, this production is cut short when he dies on stage opening night. Moreover, this turns out to be murder! Oliver’s production is at risk.
Now, Oliver, Mabel (Selena Gomez), and Charles (Steve Martin) are back doing what they do best. That would be sleuthing, and podcasting their discoveries and theories. Mabel tells Oliver that this is the fastest way to get on with the show. But, the trio has help this time around. Loretta Durkin (Meryl Streep) is tagging along to help uncover clues and solve this mystery.
There are so many potential suspects. That includes Kimber (Ashley Park) a TikTok superstar. Then there is the mysterious Tobert (Jesse Williams), a documentarian who seems to have captured Mabel’s attention. Or is there someone else in the cast that may have a mysterious connection to the deceased?
Meanwhile, Charles is trying to make his new relationship with Joy (Andrea Martin) work. But, either his lack of self-confidence or her pushiness takes him to the brink. Hopefully, he can focus on the mystery at hand as love could once again distract him at the wrong time.

Michael Cyril Creighton is back as Howard Morris. Also, the preview shows a couple of surprise guests including Matthew Broderick and Jane Lynch.
Who Is Not Returning For Hulu Series Season 3
Unfortunately, Nathan Lane’s Teddy Dimas will not be part of Only Murders Season 3. According to an interview with Deadline prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike, Lane revealed that he had a time conflict. He was in Pictures From Home along with Danny Burstein, and Zoë Wanamaker, portraying Irving.
However, the series co-creator John Hoffman has hinted that if Hulu gives them a Season 4, Teddy Dimas will return. Besides, there is some unfinished business between Teddy and Oliver, and Oliver’s son. It seems too juicy for this series to not go back to this deep, dark, secret. This is exactly why this Hulu series has been such a hit. The layers of secrets and lies have created a rich and entertaining story.

The premiere of Only Murders In The Building Season 3 is on Tuesday, August 8 on Hulu. The streamer will drop two episodes in the first week. After that, Hulu will drop a new episode every Tuesday.
