Live has been full of chaos over the past two weeks. It started with Kelly going missing and rumors of a big lottery win. Then came news of the exciting things to come for next season. A lot has been happening in the world of Kelly and her husband and co-host Mark Consuelos. But it doesn’t matter how busy things get, there’s always time to admire a gorgeous new hairdo. Kelly Ripa recently showed the fancy new haircut on social media, and fans took note.

Lottery, Absences, And A New Season – Oh My!

If you’re a fan of Live with Kelly and Mark, you already know that the last two weeks have been wild. It all started last Monday when Kelly Ripa told fans that she was leaving and never coming back. She was joking, of course. Her departure from the show, Kelly joked, would come as the result of winning the big Powerball. The ticket was drawn Wednesday night, and Kelly worried fans by being absent on Thursday and Friday.

Her co-host and husband Mark was no help, simply saying that his wife was absent “on assignment.” But despite fan speculation that she had won the lottery and eloped to the South of France, she returned to the studio on Monday. And the chaos continued. Kelly shared with fans this week that she and Mark have filmed the opener for next season. And according to the co-hosts, it’s going to be big. Mark hinted that next season’s opener will be intense, boasting, “We’ve got drones, we have glam bots, we have green screens, we had a 360-degree camera.”

But before the new season drops on September 5th, Kelly has some big changes to share with fans.

Kelly Ripa took to Instagram to share her new ‘do on Wednesday.

The new look debuted in a grinning selfie as Kelly shared herself sitting in the stylist’s seat. She credited @ryantrygstad for the new look. Kelly captioned the photo, “Divine timing for a fresh coat of paint.” But she wasn’t just referring to her shimmering golden locks by saying “divine.” She was making a proud mother’s reference to her daughter’s newest project.

Kelly and Mark’s daughter, Lola Consuelos, debuted her newest single, “Divine Timing,” a few weeks ago. The proud mother has been promoting Lola’s music on her social media, and couldn’t miss an opportunity to plug the song again. It’s a sweet peek into the mother/daughter relationship. And a quick look at Kelly’s new hair, which fans will see on the show soon enough.
