Comedian Larry the Cable Guy is riding out the “death” trend, and sharing his future plans with fans.
This week, fans of the comedian became concerned after “Larry the Cable Guy dead” began trending. But Larry wanted people to know that he is alive and well, despite the persistent rumor. And in a new social media post, he let fans in on his plans for the near future.
Larry The Cable Guy Dead?
Larry the Cable Guy was born Daniel Lawrence Whitney in Nebraska on February 17, 1963. But he did not die in July 2023. At least, not yet.
This week, “Larry the Cable Guy dead” was trending on Twitter. Soon, other social media outlets began spreading the news as well. Fans were understandably concerned and confused. As they talked about their concerns, the hashtag picked up steam and soon everyone thought Larry might have died. Luckily, he’s still alive and well. The comedian caught wind of the death hoax and took to Facebook to set the record straight. He wrote that as much as “some haters” would love him to have died, he’s still kicking. He added that he wasn’t sure why his haters wished him ill. Except that they might be jealous of his “1980’s Dolph Lundgren (circa 1980’s) looking body.”
He confirmed that he’s still alive and “currently putting icy hot on 65 percent of my body after trying to put on my socks.” Larry added that once a year or so, someone spreads the rumor that the comedian has died. But, he added, “It’s fake. I’m fully mobile. The last time I laid motionless was on my honeymoon according to my wife.” To be clear, he does not have sleep apnea or diabetes, according to Larry. But, the comedian confirmed, “I do however have major farts from honey roasted pistachios. I love all y’all!”
