Jon Gosselin Lets It Rip On Kate, ‘Doesn’t Have True Love For Son’
Jon Gosselin doesn’t think his ex-wife Kate ever had any love at all for their son Collin.
Right now, the exes couldn’t be on worse terms. Nineteen-year-old Collin recently opened up about Kate’s behavior during his childhood in the new documentary, Jon & Kate Plus 8: Family Circus. Jon is on his son’s side while Kate is doubling down and insisting she did nothing wrong.
Now, Jon Gosselin has a few things to add about the way Kate behaved during their marriage. See what he had to say.
Jon Gosselin’s rep slams Kate in the press
It’s been quite some time since the Gosselins were on TLC. But even so, their loyal fans are still interested in the family’s well-being. Things have been relatively quiet for a few years, but they’re now back in the headlines after Collin’s documentary appearance.
Kate clapped back at the accusations on social media and in the press. Now Jon is defending Collin through his representative.
“Kate posting cruel false accusations regarding Collin seems to be just another way for her to justify her inexcusable horrific past behavior toward him,” Jon Gosselin’s representative told The Sun.
“True love for a child wouldn’t include a mother attacking their son to the public. Collin had to be cleared by the Marines with a full background check including mental, physical, and medical clearance through the US Marine Corps. The government’s full diagnosis clearly reflects the truth. Do not forget that a judge awarded sole legal and physical custody of Collin to his father.”
The representative went on to say that Kate never showed up to court to try to keep custody of Collin.
“Regarding these brand new false accusations, it seems clear that even today after not seeing her son since the 6th grade, she is unable to control her abusive words towards him,” the rep continued. “At this point, Collin is training to be a marine in order to serve his country and is unable to respond to his mother’s callus lies.”
The father of eight did everything in his power to get custody of Collin
There’s still quite a bit that the public doesn’t know about the family’s tense dynamic. However, Jon Gosselin claims that he spent all the money he had to try and get custody of Collin after Kate had him institutionalized as a child.
Jon also claimed custody of Hannah Gosselin, though he largely remains estranged from the rest of his children.
It’s not immediately clear what will happen next, but this situation is far from over. In all likelihood, more members of the family will speak out about the situation soon.
