‘GMA’ Sam Champion Reveals He’s Leaving Duties As Host

Good Morning America contributor Sam Champion revealed that he’s leaving his duties as host.

The GMA meteorologist has made a decision for his career that will keep him away from the studio for a while. So is Sam Champion quitting? He recently revealed his plans to fans in an Instagram Live. Read on to find out what the beloved meteorologist and GMA host will be doing in the near future.

Sam Recently Lost Important Property Which Left Him ‘Sad’

Before updating fans about his plans for his host duties, Sam Champion shared about the destruction of his property which left him “sad.”

The GMA contributor had an impressive rooftop garden that he nurtured lovingly from seed to harvest. But his carefully cared for plants were destroyed in a surprise inspection from the New York City government. Sam shared his experience with the destruction of his beloved plants and slammed the NYC government for their callous disregard for his garden.

On social media, Sam captioned a post about the loss, “Sad day in the rooftop garden NYC inspection on our building means I had to tear out the garden.” He added that he had moved all of his plants to pots, but there was no guarantee they would survive. The meteorologist wrote that he was sad and angry at the same time. Sam added, “The @nycgov just rolls in and starts making demands… just as everything is in bloom.”

However, Sam has decided to persevere despite the destruction of his beloved plans. And he will be growing new ones to make up for what he lost. Along with those new plants come new plans for the near future.

Sam Champion Reveals He’s Leaving His Duties As GMA Host

In a new social media video, Sam Champion was joined by his GMA co-host Heather O’Rourke. The pair often streams Instagram Live videos together, where they answer questions and provide updates about what they’re up to.

This time, they told people about their plans to walk away from their hosting duties. Heather revealed to fans that she was going to be on vacation soon, and Sam will also be leaving on vacation. Sam told viewers, “So next week, you guys, we’re gone.” But Sam, never one to forget his loyal viewers, had a message for them too. He told fans, “I hope you get a chance to get away too at some point soon.”

The good news is that after vacation, both Sam and Heather will be right back where they should be at GMA.
