‘RHONJ:’ Dolores Catania Not Done Yet

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania says she’s not done losing weight yet.

The Bravo reality tv star has lost more than a few pounds on a new weight-loss medication. But she’s not done yet, according to Dolores. Read on to find out what drug Dolores has been taking. And what her long-term goals are for her health and weight.

Dolores Says A Healthy Lifestyle Is Free

Dolores Catania is focusing on her health and career in 2023. The Sun caught up with her while she was posing for the cover of Bella Around Town magazine, and she gushed about getting her weight and health going in the right direction.

At her highest weight, Dolores says she was 163. She added, “I was going there. Like, I was gaining weight every month.” So she started taking Ozempic. According to the RHONJ star, it takes time to work, and it “doesn’t come off easy.” After two years on Ozempic, she wanted to try something new. So the reality tv star switched to Mounjaro. Both drugs provide weight loss through similar mechanisms.

Dolores explained to the outlet that she was prescribed both drugs because “I am insulin resistance/pre-diabetic and have a thyroid issue.” But so many people have lost weight on the drugs, she added. When pressing doctors on concerns about if there would be serious side effects, Dolores explained, “All the doctors that I spoke to said ‘no.'”

And while the drugs she takes are expensive, Dolores told the magazine, “Being healthy and living a healthy lifestyle is cheap – it’s free!” She works out and eats healthily. The RHONJ star explained, “There’s is no easy fix for weight loss.”

RHONJ Star Dolores Catania Isn’t Done Losing Weight Yet

Now that she’s getting her health and weight headed in the direction she wants, Dolores Catania says she’s not done yet.

The RHONJ star told The Sun, “I’m being realistic. Right now, I’m 137. I was 157 when I started.” And her goal, Dolores says, is to be in the “low 130s.” That means more injections and more hard work ahead. But the RHONJ star is on top of the world, and ready to tackle the coming challenges. Dolores said that posing on the cover of BELLA Around Town is a “full circle” moment for her. But soon, she and her boyfriend Paul Connell will be traveling to his home country, Ireland. They’ll stay there through the end of July into mid-August. This means that they’ll be missing the start of filming for Season 14 of RHONJ. “If the show is starting, it’s without me right now,” Dolores explained.

In addition to her successful weight loss and career moves, things are going well with Paul. This means that even if she won’t start filming with her co-stars in mid-August, everything is coming up Dolores.
