Britney Spears Assaulted: Police Report Filed

According to TMZ, Britney Spears was reportedly backhanded (slapped) across the face by a member of NBA’s Victor Wembanyama’s security.

This surprising altercation went down while Britney and her husband Sam Asghari were grabbing a bite to eat at the Catch restaurant located at the ARIA Hotel around 8:30 P.M. Britney and her husband appeared to be joined by two additional individuals. Britney was quickly swarmed by fans as she tried to enter the casino with her dinner party.

While Britney Spears and her companions were making their way over to the restaurant, she spotted Victor Wembanyama and decided to make her way over to him. Sources told TMZ that Britney Spears was a fan of the NBA star and was hoping to snap a photo with him.

Britney Spears reportedly tapped Victor Wembanyama on the back and right shoulder before the San Antonio Spurs’ Director of Team Security backhanded her across the face. After getting slapped in the face, Britney fell to the ground — losing her glasses.

After rising from the ground, Britney Spears reportedly composed herself and made her way to the table for dinner. Sources confirm the security guy later approached Britney’s table to apologize for slapping her. He, however, assumed she would “understand” the situation as she also gets swarmed by fans and he was just doing his job. Britney reportedly accepted his apology.

Britney Spears’ security team reportedly spent some time talking to the security guard that slapped the singing sensation across the face. Later, Britney’s team made the decision to file an official police report with Metropolitan Police Department. In the police report, Britney’s team alleged battery of the singer.

Sources affirm Victor Wembanyama’s security likely had no idea who Britney was when he backhanded her across the face for touching the NBA player he was protecting. The question everyone is asking is whether the security guard was operating within the description of his job or if Britney Spears actually has grounds to file a police report that accuses the guard of battery.

Do you think the security guard should get in trouble for smacking Britney Spears? Or, do you think he was just doing his job? Let us know in the comments down below.
