Did former TLC star Jill Dillard fall victim to scammers? It looks that way based on a few recent discoveries made by Duggar fans and critics. What scammers are after Jill now? Keep reading to get all of the details to make sure you avoid these scams and don’t get taken advantage of too.

Scammers sometimes take advantage of the Duggar family & fans.

Because the Duggars have a large following, there are many opportunities for fans to use their names for scams. In the past, scammers have created fake wedding registries or baby registries to get free gifts. They tricked fans by making them think they were legitimate gift registries, but instead, a scammer was receiving many nice items paid for by Duggar fans.

It can be challenging for the family’s followers to determine which registries are real and which aren’t. It’s fairly easy for scammers to create fake wish lists like this. To prevent this, it’s safest to only purchase items from registries promoted by the official Duggar family social media profiles.

Now, Jill Dillard might have fallen victim to a different type of scam.

Did Jill Dillard fall victim to scammers?

On Reddit this week, Duggar fans and critics made a few interesting discoveries. On Amazonthere are several new books that appear to be about Jill. However, they aren’t really written by her. On Reddit, fans and critics are pointing out that “AI copycat” books are a major problem on Amazon, but nothing is being done about them.

Someone else added, “Anyone can self-publish a book on Amazon with virtually no upfront investment. When the unsuspecting consumer purchases a book, it is then printed off and mailed out.”

Below, you can see a few of the titles.

In another comment, someone else added, “ChatGPT means anyone is an author now, lol. It’s just scammy scammers scamming.”

And it turns out that Jill isn’t the only one being scammed like this, according to one Reddit user. It seems to be happening to other celebrities too.

It looks like most listings went live after Jill announced she had written a book. Hopefully, fans don’t purchase these books thinking they are actually by Jill. Someone appears to be trying to use her name to make a profit.

Jill Dillard’s new book is titled Counting the Cost. To ensure you buy the correct one, consider heading to her Instagram page and using the link in her bio to find it.
