‘RHONJ’: Why Does Teresa Giudice Hate Melissa Gorga?
Why does Teresa Giudice hate her RHONJ co-star and SIL Melissa Gorga so much? It seems to run very deeply and no matter how hard she tries to explain her disdain, it does not add up. They cannot seem to come to a peaceful place, even for their children. So, is there a deeper reason why Teresa cannot stand Melissa? Read on for more details.
RHONJ: Why Does Teresa Giudice Hate Melissa Gorga?
Teresa Giudice has had an issue with her SIL, Melissa Gorga since she joined the show in Season 3. Fortunately, during the Season 13 reunion, Andy Cohen explained why the Gorgas were cast. It really had very little to do with Teresa no matter what she wants to believe. He claimed that he thought that they were really funny and appreciated that they had the same staircase as the Giudices. At the time, it worked perfectly so they were hired. Teresa did not care for Melissa, who was married to Tre’s brother, Joe. She was even offended when Melissa brought sprinkle cookies to a holiday.
Though Teresa Giudice preached that she was all about family, when she was planning her second wedding, she did not include Melissa Gorga. Rather she asked her future husband, Luis Ruelas’ sisters to be in the wedding along with friends and her four daughters. By the time the reunion came along, it was as if Andy Cohen was mediating a kindergarten classroom between the two women. However, he did admit that they both had valid points. Now, Life & Style has broken down the whole feud which may include some of the aforementioned points.
There have been rumors from Teresa that Melissa cheated on Joe and that she was a gold digger. The cheating allegations never actually had any backing and caused more harm than anything. This has been going on for a decade and even cause Joe Gorga to brawl with Teresa’s then-husband, Joe Giudice. By the time Teresa was set to wed Luis, she did not want a prenup and he was a sketchy character. Yet, she did not listen to her brother’s or SIL’s concerns. They ultimately opted not to come to the wedding.
Happy Times
Though Melissa Gorga seemingly would have put the family drama behind her, Teresa was not on the same page. Plus, her husband, Luis kept whispering threats under his breath during part three of the reunion. Yet, the families did have happy moments. When Teresa was released from prison, the family had a united front especially with her husband now in jail. In 2017, they had a family pizza and pasta business that lasted a year. More so, at BravoCon in 2019, the women looked like old friends. That has since faded and now it is just anger and resentment.
Do you think that they can ever get past it or will it just be this vicious cycle over and over again? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
