Mauricio Umansky Denied Kyle Richards Divorce Before Split
Mauricio Umansky made a podcast appearance just three months before he separated from Kyle Richards. In this podcast, he answered rumors about possible problems in his marriage of 27 years. While he sounded like things were going well for the couple, it turned out there were more problems than he let on.
Here is a look at what Mauricio said about his marriage to Kyle and how it all went wrong.
Mauricio Umansky defended his marriage to Kyle Richards
Back in April, Mauricio Umansky appeared on the Two Ts In a Pod podcast. This is former Housewives stars Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge’s podcast show. They asked Maurio about recent rumors that there were problems in his marriage. This came after Kyle Richards went out without her wedding ring in February. This sent the rumors spiraling out of control, as expected with the Real Housewives franchise.
When Teddi and Tamra asked about his marriage to Kyle, Mauricio was insistent there were no problems. “We’re not getting divorced … I mean, it’s so dumb,” he said (via Radar Online). He blamed Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, saying that someone on the show started talking about it and suddenly his marriage with Kyle became a storyline. He said that people need thick skin when taking part in these shows. “There’s definitely some stories out there and Kyle and I address it and we’ll take it from there.”
Sadly, it looks like they couldn’t “take it from there” because the two appear to be finished as far as their marriage is concerned.
Mauricio and Kyle Richards break up amidst cheating allegations
Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have separated. “Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof. They remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family,” a source said. This also comes hot on the rumors of Kyle cheating on her husband of 27 years.
These cheating rumors involved Kyle getting cozy with female country music star Morgan Wade. It started with Kyle and Morgan getting matching heart tattoos and then Morgan got the tattoo “K” on her. Nothing is proven here, outside of the fact that Kyle and Mauricio have split up.
This also came after the separation rumors started back in March, and some fans assumed it was Mauricio who was cheating. With the rumors of the split going on since February, and the split happening in March, it seems strange that Mauricio would deny any problems in April. It is possible he was hoping for a reconciliation, but it appears Kyle might have eyes for someone else now.
