‘Claim To Fame’ Carly Reeves Monetizes On Meltdown
Claim To Fame alum Carly Reeves is now monetizing off of the meltdown she had on the Season 2 premiere. Fans were shocked at the way she behaved when it was quickly revealed who she was related to. Furthermore, she was called out by Hugo, who she had formed an alliance with. Now, she is making the most of the experience but what exactly is she doing? Read on for more details.
Claim To Fame: Carly Reeves Monetizes On Meltdown
When Carly Reeves was the first to be sent home on the premiere episode of Season 2 of Claim To Fame, she was mad. She had become close to Hugo and thought he would never betray her. Then, he guessed that she was related to Tom Hanks, which was true. She is his niece by marriage to actress, Rita Wilson. Immediately, Carly stormed off, crying, and screaming that she did not get enough time on television. It was over the top. Viewers immediately took to Twitter: “Was that embarrassing tantrum of Carly’s for real or just a staged scene? Very odd.”
It was over the top and one fan felt that maybe Tom Hanks was not going to be so supportive of her anymore. She has had her own acting career with some credits. Plus, she has a YouTube channel where she does satirical bits. It also came to light that she once worked at SUR. This means that some fans may have recognized her from Vanderpump Rules, lingering in the background around 2018. Now it seems that she is making the most of her epic meltdown and actually monetizing off of it. Carly Reeves took to her Instagram stories to share she has an Etsy storefront.
There, she sells merch based on her breakdown. She has a cropped sweatshirt, a T-shirt, and joggers. On shirts, it says “I should have more camera time!” As for the joggers, they do not relate to the show whatsoever, they are just for Halloween fans. Then, Carly is also on Cameo. She calls herself the “Meltdown Queen (Tom Hanks’ Niece) on Claim To Fame.” A video is just $25 so she is definitely taking this to the next level.
Can She Succeed?
Though Carly Reeves did not leave Claim To Fame in the best light, she is doing what she does best. She is using self-deprecating humor to get by. Plus, she sees an opportunity to monetize her meltdown so she is going for it. If she can appear to have humbled herself some, there is no telling where this could lead. If all else fails, she is a real estate agent so she has that to fall back on.
