‘When Calls The Heart’ Preparing For Season 11 Production: All The Details
Hallmark’s When Calls The Heart is ramping up for Season 11 production. When will they start filming the next season? Also, why is this season unusual compared to other seasons of the network’s longest-running series?

When Calls The Heart Season 11 Production Dates Announced
Although When Calls The Heart Season 10 has yet to premiere on the Hallmark Channel, they are gearing up to start production on Season 11. According to Creative BC, the cast and crew will descend into Hope Valley between July 17 through November 8, 2023. They will start filming in just three weeks!
The information in the post just includes some production information, casting, and location manager. However, there is no information on what cast members will be back.
What Will WCTH Season 11 Be About?
As When Calls The Heart Season 10 does not premiere until July 30, it is hard to know what the Season 11 storyline will be. Yet, Hearties can fathom that the season should include the early days of married life for Elizabeth and Lucas, portrayed by Erin Krakow and Chris McNally.
Will they move to a new home? Will Elizabeth write another book? Perhaps Lucas will continue to expand his businesses. Most of all, Little Jack (Hyland Goodrich) will continue to grow and be cherished in his family. Could a little brother or sister be next?
Also, in Season 10, Rosemary and Leland Coulter (Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith) are having a baby. Season 11 will certainly feature their new baby. Hearties have been waiting for the Coulters to have a baby and see Rosemary as a mother. This promises some pretty funny, and tender moments.
As Season 10 is about love, there could be more courtships and perhaps an engagement or wedding in Season 11. Could Nathan (Kevin McGarry) finally find love? What about the other Hope Valley bachelors such as Bill Avery (Jack Wagner), Henry Gowan (Martin Cummins), and Mike HIckam (Ben Rosenbaum)? Could one of the Hope Valley ladies steal the heart of one of these bachelors?
As for the ladies, there is a cornucopia of single women who may find their happily ever after. Firstly, Dr. Faith Carter (Andrea Brooks) got her heart broken by Dr. Carson Shepherd (Paul Greene) when he left Hope Valley. Could she find romance in Season 11? What about Fiona Miller (Kayla Wallace), Molly Sullivan (Johannah Newmarch), and Mei Sou (Amanda Wong)? There are many possible matchups and the opportunities for a newcomer to come into this charming town and find love.
Could When Calls The Heart Season 11 Filming Be Delayed?
Originally, Erin Krakow had revealed that When Calls The Heart Season 11 was going to start production in mid-June. Now it is starting in mid-July. Although there has been no explanation from Hallmark, Hearties can easily guess why there is a delay.
The current WGA strike by Hollywood writers is heading into its third month. In addition, the SAG-AFTRA strike of Hollywood actors will likely start on July 1 if there is no contract resolution. That would mean that WCTH would not start production until the matter is resolved, assuming that they have the Season 11 script ready. If that script for WCTH Season 11 is not ready, Hallmark still cannot start production.
Therefore, Hearties will have to hope for a quick and satisfactory resolution to both.
