Amy Halterman Takes Off To Florida Amid Divorce
Amy Halterman has left for a summer paradise amid her ongoing complicated divorce case.
By now, most 1000-Lb Sisters fans have heard about Michael and Amy’s split. During the course of Season 4, it was clear that there was trouble brewing in their marriage. Shortly after the season ended, publications started dishing on their breakup.
Ending a marriage is generally a difficult time, but Amy isn’t letting it get the best of her. Instead, she’s happily moving on with her life and focusing on her sons.
So what exactly has her Florida trip looked like?

Summertime is here and Amy Halterman is ready to soak up the sun and enjoy time with her boys. Everyone needs a break now and then — especially when dealing with complicated divorce proceedings.
The 1000-Lb Sisters star uploaded a TikTok video revealing that she was headed to Florida for a much-needed summer break. Based on her other posts, it seems that she took Glenn and Gage along for the journey. She uploaded another TikTok revealing the boys wearing matching smiley face shirts and munching on fried chicken.
In Touch Weekly reports that Amy has had a series of fun nights and trips since splitting up with Michael Halterman. Although some fans have suggested the split is actually a publicity stunt, In Touch Weekly reveals that Michael did file for divorce on March 13.
The publication went on to say that the situation became complicated when the courts ordered Michael and Amy to stay at least 500 feet apart from each other and one another’s homes. They also are not allowed to make public statements about each other, which explains their silence so far.
Most fans are certain that TLC will use the split as a storyline in Season 5. It really does seem as if the pair intend to go their separate ways.

1000-Lb Sisters fans still have a lot of questions about Michael and Amy’s breakup. There seem to be conflicting reports about Amy’s current residence, especially since it’s rumored that she moved back into the house she purchased with Michael.
This would definitely make the divorce proceedings difficult, especially with the court mandates. Fans likely won’t know the full story until 1000-Lb Sisters returns for a fifth season on TLC.
For now, Amy is content to soak up the Florida sun and enjoy time with her boys. She’ll have enough on her plate when she gets back to Kentucky.
