Kevin Costner’s Second Divorce May Be Bigger Nightmare Than First
Kevin Costner’s second divorce is turning out to be a bigger nightmare than his first divorce. His soon-to-be-ex, Christine Baumgartner, has made some pretty big demands. This includes a shockingly insane amount of monthly child support.
Here is the latest on what is turning out to be one of the worst Hollywood divorces in history.
Kevin Costner’s Ex Asks For Outrageous Child Support
When Kevin Costner’s now soon-to-be-ex wife Christine Baumgartner filed for divorce in May, he was allegedly “blindsided.” However, the Field Of Dreams star may just begin to realize he is caught up in a nightmare.
On Wednesday, People reported that Costner’s estranged wife is asking for $248,000 a month in child support. However, the 49-year-old former handbag designer’s claim points out that she is giving him a deal. The documents reveal that the nearly quarter of a million a month “is less than the amount needed to maintain the children in their accustomed lifestyle.”
Therefore, the court documents ask that Costner also pay for “100 percent of private-school tuition, extracurricular activities/sports, and health care expenses.”
Does this mean that Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13, each would need about $83,000 a month for basic expenses like food and clothing? The additional expenses could potentially increase the monthly child support by 50 percent.
However, she did not ask for spousal support.
Kevin Costner By The Numbers
Ever wonder how much Kevin Costner makes a year? The court documents revealed his impressive wealth. In 2022, his income was $19, 517,0641. Before taxes, expenses were $6,645,285. That means the Costner household’s net income was $7,595,529.
How did the household spend money? They took vacations in the Caribbean, Hawaii, and Aspen. The Costners were “regular entertainers.” This means catering or private chefs treat their guests to fantastic food.
These expenses totaled close to $2 million a year.
Field Of Dreams Star’s First Divorce Was One Of The Most Expensive In Hollywood History
When Kevin Costner and his first wife Cindy Silva divorced in 1994. They met and married as college students. She supported him as he pursued his dream of becoming an actor. All in all, he had to pay $80 million to her because they did not sign a prenuptial agreement.
Therefore, when Costner married Baumgartner, she signed a prenuptial agreement. One of the reasons is that when he got divorced for the first time, he did not have a place to live. He thought that this was all taken care of with this marriage.
But, Christine Costner is still living in his house, and he does not have a home to go to.

Was Kevin Costner’s Wife Too Friendly With Tenant?
As if the crazy child support demands were not crazy enough. Now, it looks like a third party may be part of this split. Earlier this week, The Sun reported that a tenant on Kevin Costner’s property was getting “close” to Christine Costner.
Tech entrepreneur Daniel Starr and his four-year-old son were living in the $64,000-a-month guest house adjacent to the Costner property. He signed a lease in June 2022. Kevin and Christ got close to him. It seems that things got even cozier.
It turns out that Christine hung out with him every day. The three Costner children also got close to Starr. This made Costner “furious.” “There was a row between him and Daniel and things escalated from there.”
Soon, Costner had his lawyers send out letters to make the tenant leave. But the entrepreneur will not budge. He insisted that he did nothing inappropriate. Eventually, he left in March 2023.
Now, Kevin Costner wants his wife to leave his house. This saga is far from over. What do Yellowstone fans think of these new divorce updates?
