On social media, celebrities and influencers are often accused of trying to make their homes and lives look perfect when that’s simply not the reality. With four kids, it’s easy for fans to see why Jessa’s home might not always be neat and tidy. One of her Instagram posts has recently resurfaced. It was posted on Reddit, where fans discussed how gross and untidy her home looked. Though it was posted in 2017, fans are still disgusted by the state of her home.
On Instagram back in 2017, Jessa decided she wanted to be real with her followers. So, she posted a series of photos of her unkempt home. In one shot, the laundry was piled on the bed, waiting to be folded. Another snap showed a pile of dirty diapers on the dresser. She showed off her dusty end table and her dirty stovetop. While sharing these photos, Jessa Seewald said, “This is real life, y’all.”

Since sharing this post, Ben and Jessa Seewald have welcomed two more kiddos to their family and moved into a new house. She hasn’t shared another post quite like this one, so there’s no telling whether things have improved. On Reddit, fans and critics have a lot to say.
Many are heartbroken by these photos. One said, “I remember seeing this when she initially posted it and just being so sad for her.” Others think it’s disgusting that she couldn’t take a couple of minutes to throw the dirty diapers away, especially due to the smell. Someone else said, “And possibly a cleaning service. Let her focus on the kids and clutter and the cleaning people can come through and wipe and dust all the things that are hard to do with lots of little kids.”
Another Duggar critic added, “This is gross, but it’s also deeply sad. She needed help she wasn’t getting.”

Though many fans are disgusted by the state of Jessa Seewald’s home in these photos, plenty of others are worried about her. Some think she might have undiagnosed and untreated depression. They hope Ben Seewald helps out with the kids and chores too.
