Kroy Biermann is taking big legal steps to shield his children. The father of six is trying to protect his four minor children with his estranged wife, Kim Zolciak. They are both going after each other but now he is taking it to another level. What exactly is going on? Read on for more details.

Both Kroy Biermann and Kim Zolciak claim that they want what is best for their children. She initially wanted primary and physical custody of them. Then Kroy requested sole custody as well as their Georgia mansion which was supposed to be foreclosed on. Things became even worse when Kroy wanted Kim to have a psych evaluation as he also claimed she had a gambling addiction. Additionally, she wanted her husband of over eleven years to get drug tested. So, there has been a lot going on between the RHOA alums.

Now, Kroy is taking additional steps to ensure his kids are safe. According to Us Weekly, the former professional football player is requesting a guardian. Per court docs, Kroy Biermann maintains that their breakup is: “far from amicable and continues to deteriorate.” However, they are still living under the same roof mainly because it makes sense money-wise. Yet, to aid in this difficult situation, Kroy had made a request. He would like a guardian ad litem put in place while he and Kim try to come to a custody agreement.

Now, who can perform this task? Essentially, it can be a lawyer or mental health professional. They will then work for the children and solely for whatever is best for them. Kroy Biermann stated that the reason for this request is to essentially “attempt to shield” their littles from anything bad that can come from the divorce. Unfortunately, Kim Zolciak is not taking this lying down and is firing back at what Kroy is attempting to do.

Kim Speaks Out

She may have just made an appearance on the RHOA but Kim Zolciak actually feels that Kroy Biermann is in the wrong when it comes to their divorce. Wednesday, June 14th, she had a statement come out via her lawyer: “It’s really sad the way Kroy is causing our divorce to play out in the media like this because it could have a profound effect on our children in the long run. To continuously spread lies in an attempt to paint Kim as an unfit mother for his own gain is harmful and incredibly misleading regarding Kim’s efforts to raise her children.”
