As TV Shows Ace has reported, Jill has recently been speaking out about her family and her very strict, religious upbringing. She appeared in the new Duggar docuseries, Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets. She also announced her new tell-all book, Counting the Cost, which hits shelves in January 2024.
Fans assume that Jill’s decision to speak out has impacted her relationship with the Duggar family. After all, she has exposed some of their beliefs and some of the problems she faced throughout her childhood. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have already spoken out against the docuseries.
A Duggar family source reveals where everyone stands with her.
In an Instagram comment, Katie Joy of Without a Crystal Ball disclosed what she’s learned from a friend of the Duggars. A fan asked if James Duggar might be supporting Jill, based on a cryptic quote he shared on his Instagram Stories. Katie is convinced that James is actually “supporting his dad” rather than Jill.
She went on to explain where the family stands. She said:
“I speak to friends of the Duggars so I know the details of who is on which side & it’s everyone against Jill.”

Some of the Duggar family’s followers feel that Jinger Vuolo might be in support of Jill. This is because Jinger also wrote a book about her experience with the IBLP. However, based on what has been revealed so far, it looks like Jill may detail more about her parents and upbringing than Jinger did. Fans believe Jill’s book will be more of a tell-all, while Jinger’s focused on her deconstruction and her new religious beliefs.
