Deborah Roberts made a special appearance on GMA this morning to talk about the life of the rock-and-roll queen Tina Turner. As Tv Shows Ace reported, Tina Turner tragically passed away yesterday.

Robin Roberts kicked off the segment dedicated to Tina Turner noting that there would never be another Tina Turner before letting Deborah take over. Deborah acknowledged that Robin was right before noting that Tina was “a force” her fans never thought they would have to say goodbye to.
This is a loss that is hard and deep for so many of us.”
Deborah Roberts proceeded to pay tribute to Tina tribute by talking about how powerful and strong she was. She went into detail about her incredible career and her accomplishments. Al Roker’s wife even gave viewers a history lesson on Tina Turner’s personal life.

Michael Strahan and George Stephanopoulos sat and listened as Deborah and Robin continued to talk about the powerhouse that was Tina Turner. Absolutely gutted by her passing, Deborah Roberts has taken to Instagram multiple times to pay her respects.

Al Roker’s wife noted there was no doubt in her mind that Tina Turner was “absolutely incredible” and the world lost a legend when she passed away.
But Tina Turner’s memory will live on full throttle. Her energetic performance will always be a cherished memory for me. Watching her dazzle her Madison Square Garden audience of fans and devotees just a few years ago, was simply the best! I’ll never forget seeing Tina shake and shimmer to Proud Mary on the Ed Sullivan show when I was a kid.
Deborah Roberts went on to reveal part of the reason this death hit her so hard is that Tina Turner was an idol she looked up to.

Tina helped me get thru an unexpected divorce. What love’s got to do with it. Really inspired me. Her abuse she endured with Ike. I saw myself in her pair shoes. I had abusive spouse that acted like Ike. She got it together for herself and so glad she did without him. I followed in her footsteps alone and happy.
