‘NCIS: Hawaii’ Season 2 Finale Sees Team Split Over Tennant
Jane Tennant’s actions in the first part of the two-part Season 2 finale episodes have her NCIS: Hawaii team responding in different ways. What will the consequences for her close-knit team be in the episode entitled “Dies Irae”?
Warning: if you have not seen the episode “Past Due,” there will be spoilers.
Jane Tennant’s Past Could Change Her NCIS: Hawaii Future
Last week, in the NCIS: Hawaii episode “Past Due,” Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) acted suspiciously when an M16 agent was found murdered. Through flashbacks, we learned that when she was a CIA agent, she was part of a failed program. Now, millions of dollars are missing. She wants to know who did it.
A bank routing number sends the suspended Tennant, along with a very reluctant Whistler (Tori Anderson) to Venezuela. Jane winds up handcuffing Whistler, with a three-day supply of local food. Tennant wants to keep the special FBI agent from joining her on her search.
Unfortunately for Jane, she gets kidnapped, and although Whistler gets out of the cuffs, she has no idea where to look for the wayward leader.
Meanwhile, back at the office, Supervisory Agent John Swift (Henry Ian Cusick) is creating an atmosphere that makes helping find Jane nearly impossible. Even with Whistler’s help, this team will be challenged more than ever.
Moreover, they are fighting pure evil. The episode title, “Dies Irae” is Latin for “day of wrath.” We can assume that this wrath is towards Jane, and Creel is determined to take her down! This is a guy that wants revenge.
Will the NCIS Hawaii team stop him before Creel takes his full revenge?

Will NCIS Hawaii Be Back For Season 3?
Earlier in the year, CBS renewed NCIS Hawaii for Season 3. However, in a recent interview with ET, Noah Miles has a warning for fans. He indicates that when this Season 2 finale is resolved, this is not the end. Everything may not go back to how it was before. The team could be split over Jane’s secrecy and emotional actions.
Miles revealed that he wonders what the writers and producers will do with the impact of this ending. He sees that “they definitely will” have to deal with the consequences of Jane’s “emotional decisions.”
It’ll be interesting to see, legally, what comes down on her from the higher-ups of the NCIS.
The higher-ups are not the only ones who may be peeved. Miles shares that the agents may think “I do have an issue with you disappearing and…not communicating because you’re putting us in a hard position.”
Concluding that there may be “some bones to pick,” Noah Miles surmises that the fallout will continue into the new season.
Are you looking forward to the finale episode of NCIS: Hawaii? What do you think should happen to Jane Tennant?
