Kevin Costner Is ‘Concerned’ He Will Lose Millions To Estranged Wife Despite Prenup
Last week, award-winning Yellowstone star Kevin Costner was blindsided by his now estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner. She surprised him by filing for divorce. Now, he faces deja vu, as he is “concerned” that he could lose millions to her, even though they signed a prenup before their 2004 Aspen marriage.
Deja vu? Many of his fans may not know that he lost a great deal of money after his first divorce. Now, it looks like he may face a repetition. Moreover, it makes sense that he is feeling discomfort. That is because his first divorce was one of the most expensive in Hollywood history.
What is the latest news in the JFK star’s currently chaotic personal and professional life?
Yellowstone Star Kevin Costner ‘Concerned’ About Estranged Wife’s Actions
Things have been going awry in Kevin Costner’s life this year. Although the headlines have been about issues on the Paramount set, it is his marriage that has him “concerned.” This seems especially confusing as the couple signed a prenup before they married. Why would he show concern?
According to Radar Online, a source in the know confided, “Christine is making moves to challenge the prenup.”
Although they did not reveal what these moves are, there will be some moving. That is because Kevin’s estranged wife needs to move out. That detail was revealed in Kevin’s lawyer’s response to her divorce filing.
The wording states, “Pursuant to the terms in Paragraph 9.A. of the parties’ Premarital Agreement, Petitioner to vacate Respondent’s separate property residences.”
In Kevin’s filing, there were also details of what the prenup included. There were some specifics about money and jewelry acquired before the marriage, as well as during.
What Is Kevin Costner Worth + The Children Factor?
As the pair have three children, could this complicate or alter some of their prenup agreement? We don’t have an answer to that. Yet, it seems possible that their young children together would need a place to live, and it would need to be close to their school.
Cayden Wyatt, Hayes Logan, and Grace Avery certainly be the three reasons for Christine to move to change the original wording. That is because they did not have any children at the time they married.
Kevin Costner has been blessed with an award-winning career on both the big and small screens. He is currently starring as John Dutton in Yellowstone, reportedly making over a million dollars per episode.
Now, he stands to lose a boatload of money. How much is he worth?
According to Celebrity Net Worth, he is worth $250 million. This includes three spacious homes and massive amounts of land. However, he would be much wealthier if he didn’t lose a great deal of money in his first divorce. This remains one of Hollywood’s most expensive divorces ever.

How Much Did The Yellowstone Star Lose After His First Divorce?
Kevin Costner’s first wife was Cindy Silva. According to People, the two met in college, California State University, Fullerton, then married in 1989. She was the breadwinner, working in marketing for Delta Airlines. Meanwhile, he had Hollywood dreams and was making valuable connections.
Before they even married, he was starring in a cornucopia of hits including The Untouchables, No Way Out, and Bull Durham. Soon, he was filming Field Of Dreams, Dances With Wolves, and Robin Hood. Kevin was not only starring in movies, but he was also writing and directing. He also won awards and was raking in a lot of money.
Therefore, it is of no surprise then that his heavy work schedule put a toll on their marriage, and kept him away from their three children. There were also hints of infidelity. Although they seemed like the perfect couple to everyone around them, their time apart destroyed their relationship. Friends were shocked when they called it quits.
Money Mistake This Time?
Fortunately, Kevin and his ex are now great friends as they parent their three grown children. Therefore, he may have felt secure when he signed a prenup with Christine before they said their vows back in 2004. But, maybe it is not as airtight as he imagined.
Because the Yellowstone star is now concerned that he could be emptying his pocket once again, in a nightmarish deja vu divorce settlement. Although the unidentified source was assured that all was well, “Kevin’s prenup is airtight,” they predict there could be other complications. “Christine will just be causing nothing but grief and more drama.”
Of course, it is always possible the two could reconcile, as this is what Costner wants.
