Guilt & Regret Eat At Julie Chrisley’s Sad Heart Behind Bars
Savannah Chrisley revealed on a recent podcast that her mother Julie wasn’t having the easiest time behind bars right now. To cope with her situation, Savannah reveals that her mother does everything she can to keep her busy and make time go faster. Likewise, Julie Chrisley also documents her days by journaling in the form of writing letters to Savannah. Instead of mailing them to Savannah, she just delivers them to her in bundles when she comes to visit.
Savannah Chrisley admitted it was a lot to take in when she read her mother’s letters. Moreover, Savannah confirms plans to share the letters with fans at some point in time. For now, however, she is keeping her mother’s letters to herself.
Tragically, her mother is having a pretty rough time behind bars. Julie Chrisley has an intense amount of guilt eating away at her. This guilt, however, has nothing to do with feeling bad for the crimes she allegedly committed to end up behind bars. The guilt stems from what she feels like this situation is doing to her family.
Guilt and regret eat at Julie Chrisley’s heart
In her letters, Julie Chrisley constantly tells her daughter how much she misses Todd. As fans know, Julie and Todd are not allowed to see each other. Moreover, they can’t talk on the phone per prison policy. Any communication they have happens through other family members or via email.
The real guilt and regret brewing inside of Julie and eating at her heart, however, is for her daughter Savannah. Savannah Chrisley is in her 20’s. She’s young. She’s beautiful. And, Julie Chrisley knows her daughter should be living her best life. She knows Savannah Chrisley should be dating people, having fun, and maybe even making a few mistakes. Instead, she’s now the temporary mother of two children she never asked for.
Sadly, there is deep regret and guilt in Julie’s heart as she comes to terms with the fact that Savannah’s life has been put on pause as she takes care of Chloe and Grayson.

The reality TV star did take a stab at dating recently. She revealed on her podcast that she was kicking it with a country singer named Nate Smith. Unfortunately, she couldn’t figure out how to navigate having children and dating. So, she had to end things with Nate. Savannah has also previously admitted she has no plans of getting married or having children while her parents are behind bars.
