Dolph Lundgren Faces Death, Reveals 8 Year Cancer Battle
During the interview, the 65-year-old actor reveals he first received a diagnosis of lung cancer back in 2015. Dolph Lundgren explained they found something in his kidneys during an exam. They were not sure what it was, but they did a biopsy and confirmed it was a cancerous tumor. In time, his cancer went into remission and he was able to go on living his life.
Sadly, things changed in 2020 when his cancer came back. The actor explained he was experiencing some intense acid reflux and he wasn’t sure why. So, he got an MRI and they discovered he had more tumors.
Unfortunately, Hans “Dolph” Lundgren received a terminal cancer diagnosis and he was told he had between two and three years left before he would lose his battle with cancer. While the terminal diagnosis was a hard pill to swallow, Dolph Lundgren accepted the fact that he was dying.
According to his fiance, Emma Krokdal, doctors informed them he had tumors on his kidneys, spine, stomach, and in his lungs. While the actor accepted the fact that he was doing to die, he ended up getting a second opinion. Dr. Alexandra Drakaki and her cancer treatment gave the actor hope as his tumors quickly shrunk down as much as 90 percent in size.

His doctor hopes to keep him on medication as long as possible to suppress any additional cancer growth. She, however, is also hopeful and confident in saying she believes he has years to live, not months.
At the end of all this, Dolph Lundgren admits he now appreciates life a lot more and embraces the days he gets to spend with his loved ones. He appreciates being lucky to be alive. The actor also can’t help but wonder if doing steroids when he was younger is the reason this happened to him. Moreover, he hopes the success he’s had with this treatment helps someone else.
Dolph Lundgren also explains he’s done what he can to be a good and nice guy over the years to the people around him (including his fans). And, he believes the universe gave his constant kindness back to him in saving his life.
