Shemar Moore Accuses CBS Of Racism: ‘F*cking Mistake’

Shemar Moore posted a lengthy video on Instagram stating he knew it would get him “in trouble” with CBS but decided to post it anyway as he seemingly accused the network of racism. The 53-year-old actor explained was wearing shades and lounging as he spoke to his 4.2M followers on Instagram. He noted he was wearing the shades because he was “feeling a bit sad” and preferred to hide his sad eyes from the camera.

Now, the actor recognizes that for nearly three decades CBS has been extremely good to him. He also points out that he was brought in as a cast member of S.W.A.T to play the role of Sergeant II Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson around the same time the network was being accused of not having a very diverse cast.

Shemar Moore proceeds to encourage his fans and followers to look up the show, do some research, and read some articles. He notes that after reading these articles, fans will learn S.W.A.T was coined as the most popular show on Friday nights. Keeping it humble and classy, he did note that the show Fire Country which airs after S.W.A.T. on Friday nights is equally as incredible and popular.

The actor also called attention to S.W.A.T. being the only show on NETWORK TV (clarifying network TV several times) that has an African American male as a lead role. Continuing to remain both humble and classy, he called props to many male actors (as well as African American actors) noting that he meant no disrespect with his words. Shemar even warned media outlets not to “twist his words” when they ran with this story.

He revealed production bamboozled the cast and crew

Sadly, Shemar Moore also reveals the cast and crew got bamboozled by CBS. They were under the impression things were fine and there would be at least a Season 7 to wrap up the story. Moreover, he reveals they were led to believe Season 7 might not be the end of the series either. So, it came as a saddening shock when the cast and crew learned the series had been canceled.

Shemar told his followers that he would be fine. He, however, knew there were people on the cast and especially the behind-the-scenes crew that were now going to have to scramble for new work when they were led to believe they had job security.

Shemar Moore believes the decision to cancel S.W.A.T. was a “f*cking mistake” and he does not think this is the end of the series. He suspects Sony and CBS will wake up and realize they made a mistake. Or, perhaps, another network will realize the show’s potential and pick up the series instead.

As fans know, it is not unheard of for a network to step in and save a show from cancelation. Especially if that show has a large and loud fan base. So, Shemar ended his video recognizing he would likely get in trouble for posting it. And, he urged fans to be loud with the fact that canceling this series was a mistake.

What do you think of what Shemar Moore had to say? Do you think this decision was a mistake? Will CBS reverse the decision or will another network pick the series up? Let us know in the comments down below. And, keep coming back for more.
