In shocking news, Kim Zolciak-Biermann has filed for divorce from Kroy Biermann. The news broke earlier today that the couple owes over $1 million in back taxes. Now, it is being shared that they are over. This comes as a surprise to fans after watching them on Don’t Be Tardy because the couple seemed like they had a great marriage.

Kim Zolciak Files For Divorce

TMZ shared the news today that Kim Zolciak has filed for divorce, which shocked fans. The couple was married for 11 years and have four young children together. Back in 2013, Kroy Biermann adopted Kim’s two daughters Brielle and Ariana. Their dad wasn’t in the picture and on Don’t Be Tardy you could see that Kroy acted as a father to both girls. At the time, Kim shared saying, “I don’t know if I could love anybody else’s children as much as Kroy loves the girls. I just don’t know if I have it in me.”

The reason for divorce was cited as “irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.” The paperwork shows the date of separation as April 30. If that is true, then she didn’t take long at all to file for divorce. There are no other details on why the couple is over.

Kim Zolciak wants a few things in the divorce and one of them is spousal support. She is also hoping to get primary physical custody of the kids. Kim is willing to share joint physical custody with Kroy. Kim wants to go back to her maiden name as well. It is a bit surprising she is asking for spousal support since she has several businesses of her own. Kroy used to play in the NFL but hasn’t in several years.

Couples Money Problems

This morning it was revealed that the couple owes over $1 million in back taxes to the federal government and the state of Georgia. Their home was about to be auctioned off at one point, but somehow they were able to save it. Kim is still posting pictures from the same home. No word on who will get to live in this home after the divorce or if they will move somewhere new.

  1. seems like some money problems have occurred for Kim that would be enough to divorce before she gets much older. Get going on to next guy with money.
