Pumpkin Busted Lying About Mama June, All For Show?

Has Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird been busted for lying about Mama June, doing all for the show? It seems to look that way based on one discrepancy from the Family Crisis season premiere. There were a few things that did not add up throughout the premiere, not just with Pumpkin. So, what did not make sense between the mother and daughter? Read on for more details.

Pumpkin Busted Lying About Mama June, All For Show?

A little over a year ago, Mama June officially turned over custody of Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson to her older daughter, Pumpkin. This made the most sense as Alana had been living with Pumpkin and her family since 2019. Then, in 2021, Pumpkin and her husband, Josh welcomed their second child, son Bentley. However, just a few months later, they learned that they were expecting again, this time twins. In May 2022, the couple welcomed twins Stella and Sylus bringing their family to four children plus Alana.

It was very expensive and this can be seen throughout Friday’s Family Crisis premiere. Pumpkin is talking about how much it costs to have Alana around. She wants lashes, nails, clothes, plus she is a senior so she has all of these activities. That was when child support was brought up. Mama June was ordered to pay $800/month but Pumpkin cannot figure out what that will cover for her sister. Then, she and Josh were strapped for cash but when the first of the month came around, there was no check from June. Pumpkin had to FaceTime her mother only to find out she was in the hospital and had moved to Alabama.

According to Pumpkin, as far as she knew, Mama June and her husband Justin Stroud lived in Georgia still. She claimed she had no idea about the move. Yet, this does not track at all. If June is sending Pumpkin checks in the mail, she would see where they were coming from. Therefore, she would see they were from Alabama and realize that something was up. This quite possibly means that Pumpkin played up June’s move as a storyline even though she already knew in advance of filming.

Other Discrepancies

When Pumpkin could not see her sister, Jessica Shannon, the latter made it seem like she was hiding something. It will soon come out that she has a lady friend but that is no secret to Mama June fans. If they have been following Jessica, they have seen her girlfriend on her social media for almost a year now. Family Crisis’ season premiere was supposedly happening in September 2022. So, it seems like they are staging scenes for entertainment value and it is consistently happening.
