As shown on TLC’s 7 Little Johnstons, Trent and Amber are involved in their kids’ lives, despite several of them being adults now. In the past, fans have expressed concern about the degree to which the parents are a part of their children’s lives. Some felt that the parents overstepped when they had their son, Jonah, move back in with them after he had a bad reaction to Delta-8.
Others have been upset with Trent and Amber Johnston for being too involved in the kids’ relationships. As shown on 7 Little Johnstons, they read through Jonah’s text messages with his girlfriend, Ashley, at one point. Plus, they have shown disapproval of Elizabeth’s desire to live with her boyfriend, Brice Bolden, prior to marriage.
Now, fans think the couple is going too far once again.

In the most recent episode of 7 Little Johnstons, fans saw Trent and Amber Johnston drive past the house Elizabeth wants to rent with Brice. The couple expressed concerns for Elizabeth due to the distance from them as well as the long commute she will have for work.
On Reddit, fans are talking about how Amber and Trent seem to be violating their kids’ boundaries and not allowing them to make their own decisions. One viewer explained, “Once again, Amber and Trent are overstepping their boundary. They can have concerns but they don’t get to decide.”
They added, “These parents will destroy all of their kids’ relationships with this level of intrusiveness.”
Yet another said, “Maybe A&T sticking their noses in their business will turn out to be the reason for the breakup.”
Of course, some fans feel that the parents are simply looking out for their kids. There certainly are differing opinions among their followers. Ultimately, it’s their choice how they want to raise their kids, but not everyone agrees with their decisions.
