Was Dralin Carswell Allowed At Honey Boo Boo’s Prom?

Was Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson’s boyfriend, Dralin Carswell even allowed at her prom? Fans started to speculate about this when they saw what he was wearing in her prom photos. She was dressed to the nines whereas Dralin was very casual and looked like he was ready to go hang out with friends. So, was there a reason why he was so dressed down? Read on for more information.

Was Dralin Carswell Allowed At Honey Boo Boo’s Prom?

Dralin Carswell and Honey Boo Boo have been together for almost two years. Therefore, it would make sense that he would have been her prom date. However, when he showed up, he was completely dressed down. The twenty-two-year-old showed up in a white polo along with black jeans and white sneakers. Fans were shocked simply because Honey Boo Boo looked like a pageant queen. She wore a pink sparkly custom-made dress with matching pink eyeshadow, jewels for days, and long sparkly nails. Finally, she topped the look off with her hair pulled half back, pulled to the top of her head, two pieces grazing the front of her face.

Immediately, after she posted the prom pics to her Instagram, her fans had questions. Why did Dralin Carswell look so casual? Could he not wear a suit? It seemed like he did not even care to try. Then, one follower pointed out that he might not have even been her actual date. Why would that be? One speculated this: “Cause he can’t go.he is 21 and has a record.” Many ignored the record part and focused on his age. This is true. Many schools will not allow those over the age of 21 to attend a high school dance and he just turned 22.

Looking into some Georgia schools and they maintain that the dates must be 21 or younger. More so, a Georgia father made news when he could not accompany his daughter to prom in 2018. The reason behind that was that dates had to be between ninth grade and 20. Ronald Toussaint told Channel 2 his daughter asked him to accompany her for this reason: “She explained it to me (and) told me that I’m the best man that she knows.”

Who Did She Go With?

Dralin Carswell may have been dressed down so that he could be there with her family to see her off. Then, she went on her merry way with friends and had a great time. If that is the case, his outfit makes more sense. However, knowing that these would be her main prom pictures, he could have done it up a little bit more just because these are memories that will last forever.
