Kristoffer Polaha Confirms ‘Mystery 101’ Cancelation Along With Mysterious Wink
Sleuthers woke up to some shocking news Monday morning. Hallmark has canceled Mystery 101. Worst of all, this was not announced in a press release. Rather, part of the social media team answering a Facebook fan question on Sunday about the future of the series revealed that Amy and Travis were no longer going to be solving mysteries. Instead, fans had other new mysteries to look forward to.
Moreover, the network canceled its Signature Mystery Series without resolving the upsetting cliffhanger at the end of Deadly History. For nearly two years, fans have wanted a resolution.
Now, Kristoffer Polaha has shared a statement on Twitter. What did he have to say?
Kristopher Polaha Lets Sleuthers Know That Mystery 101 Is Canceled
On Monday, Hallmark hunk Kristoffer Polaha went to Twitter to confirm that Mystery 101 is canceled. He also used this opportunity to thank fans and share a wink. What did he say?
Well kids, looks like the cat’s out of the bag. #Mystery101 has solved its last mystery. You are the most incredibly supportive fans ever! We LOVE you! @JillWagner @robinthomas101 & I had the most amazing time entertaining you by bringing Travis, Amy, & Graham to life. But…😉
Kris was very eloquent in thanking the fans who have supported this long-running Hallmark mystery series. He also mentioned his two costars, Jill Wagner and Robin Thomas. The trio was the core of this beloved mystery series, and it was clear that they all enjoyed working together, portraying Travis, Amy, and Graham.
Most of all, it sounds like this was news that he already was aware of. He did not share when he found out, but it does not appear that this news was a surprise to him. Yet, what about that wink at the end of his missive?
What About The Wink?
Many Sleuthers are discussing the wink at the end of his statement. Many want to know what this means. It seems unlikely that the wink has anything to do with Mystery 101. That series is canceled, and the Pearl In Paradise star has confirmed this news.
So, what could he mean by adding a wink at the end of his statement?
It seems likely that this was a hint that there is more happening. He has previously hinted that he would be interested in doing something else in a mystery genre. Last year, he hinted at something new when he spoke to the Deck The Hallmark Podcast. While eating his burger in Cannes, he asked Bran, “What if I did something different?” when he was asked about the lengthy delay of the eighth Mystery 101 movie.
On that note, just a few weeks ago, screenwriter John Christian Plummer was on the Hallmark Mysteries & More podcast talking about Mystery 101. In that interview, he revealed that he is working with Polaha on a whole new mystery series.
Although JCP has not revealed any information on this project, we should certainly be hearing about that in the upcoming weeks and months.
