Emily Simpson has been the intelligent one of the RHOC cast since Season 13. As a California lawyer, she has worked hard for her family, especially since her husband, Shane struggled. He could not seem to pass the bar in the state of California no matter how hard he tried. There was even a season when Emily took over the family and household reigning so he could study tirelessly. Finally, in late 2021, he passed the bar and that helped the family and their dynamic immensely.

Together, Shane and Emily Simpson have three children, a daughter, and twin boys. They have been seen throwing parties for the kids and participating in activities with them. Yet, Emily also likes to go out and is frequently seen with co-star Gina Kirschenheiter. Now, Emily has put out a plea on her Instagram that is quite questionable. It seems that she is looking for a sitter and rather than relying on local friends or a sitting site to help, she took to her stories.

Over a photo of her kids, she wrote: “HI FRIENDS! I’M LOOKING FOR A BABYSITTER/NANNY FOR MY KIDS: JUST DATE NIGHTS RIGHT NOW, BUT WILL TURN INTO MORE HOURS FOR THE SUMMER AND NEXT SCHOOL YEAR. I’D LOVE SOMEONE WHO LIVES NEAR LAGUNA NIGUEL, SOMEONE WHO IS COMFORTABLE STAYING THE NIGHT WITH THE KIDS WHEN WE TRAVEL, CLEAN DRIVING RECORD ALSO SOMEONE COMFORTABLE WITH DOGS AND CATS DM IF INTERESTED.” This seems relatively harmless for a regular ad but this actually went on her public social media account.

Questionable Decision

Emily Simpson has nearly 600K followers on her Instagram profile so she is putting out a lot of personal information. More than that, one would think she’d utilize other outlets to obtain a sitter. Who knows who could pop into her DMs and for what reasons? Of course, there are genuine people out there who want to nanny or babysit and are extremely qualified. Yet, is this the proper way for a public figure to find someone to be a constant presence in their children’s lives? This might not be the smartest thing that Emily Simpson has ever done and she may want to reconsider.
